Quality Rating Limited provides a claims and indemnity review function to ATE insurers in respect of personal injury and commercial litigation cases. We make recommendations in respect of individual insured cases being run by their panel solicitors.
Assessing the risk
Most policies impose reporting requirements in respect of the running of the claim. When solicitors report back and ask the insurers for authority to take certain steps in the conduct of the matter, the insurers are advised as to whether or not they should agree to the solicitors’ request. This assists our clients to only continue to insure claims which are still satisfying their policy conditions, and have reasonable prospects of success. We will also assess and highlight any foreseeable risk factors moving forward.
Analysing and advising
If, however, a claim should ultimately fail, our experienced costs assessors will provide a detailed analysis of the costs claimed under the policy, and give consideration as to whether the policy conditions have been complied with, and whether the claim should be paid.
• Insurers who use our services can be confident that the cases they insure have the best possible chance of succeeding, and all appropriate steps have been taken in the conduct of the case to bring it to a successful conclusion.
• Problem cases can be identified, and we can even make suggestions as to ways in which individual claims could be best progressed.
• Our clients also have peace of mind, knowing that obvious “losers” will be weeded out, and that they will only have to make reasonable payments out under their policies.
