File Review Programme

Have you ever considered the cost to your firm of fee earner supervision and risk management? An organisation such as yours no doubt utilises senior personnel to carry out your file reviews. If that time was spent in fee earning, then their profitability would soar, but their time is taken up in carrying out an essential function.

If you were able to employ a trusted and experienced lawyer at a fraction of that cost, giving your senior fee earners time to utilise their skills and experience in making the firm profit, you would no doubt jump at the chance. Using QRL, based upon an average charge out rate, client firms see a reduction in real cost of at least 40%.

We have been able to identify causes of delay on files so as to allow client firms to deal with this appropriately, for example, we found that 82% of the delay on a firm’s files were caused by the same supplier failing to comply with agreed service standards. Another client was able to identify a fee earner who was dealing with cases poorly to the point of negligence, and hence save themselves any further claims on their professional indemnity insurance.

All of our senior personnel have been in private practice for a minimum of 10 years, for a large part of that in a management capacity, and are either solicitors or legal executives with at least 6 years PQE. We are able to offer a bespoke file review service to meet your needs whether your requirements are for a one-off file review, or an ongoing programme.

You would have at your disposal the experience and expertise of a senior fee earner, and yet the level of our fees would mean that your profit would increase overall, as your own fee earners could do just that – earn fees.

Advantages of the QRL file review programme are:

• Consistency of analysis
• Reviews conducted quickly and efficiently to meet your timescales
• Full analysis in an agreed format
• Client service standard compliance
• External service standard compliance

We will provide a free presentation to illustrate the benefits, and details of our methods and the advantages they bring. As our company also provides a full risk management consultancy, we would be happy at that presentation to also discuss your current supervision structure and provide initial advice in this respect.

Should you be interested in considering the matter further, and would like an informal discussion in respect of the services we offer, please contact Chris Ward, Managing Director, at cward@qualityrating.co.uk or Myles Ellis, Operations Manager, at mellis@qualityrating.co.uk.
